Associate Attorney

Andrea Mercado is an Associate Attorney in the Immigration Department at Latorre Law Firm. Andrea primarily focuses her practice on removal defense and asylum cases. She is deeply committed to advocating for the rights and dignity of immigrants navigating complex legal processes and approaches every case with empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose. Before joining the firm, Andrea dedicated her legal career to the exclusive practice of immigration law, where she developed extensive experience in representing clients before immigration courts and federal agencies. Her passion for immigration law stems from a genuine desire to help others and make a meaningful impact in their lives. Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Linguistics from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez and went on to complete her Juris Doctor at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Andrea is licensed to practice law in Puerto Rico and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Outside of her professional life, Andrea enjoys reading and going on walks with her dog.
