An unfortunate news comes this week for our migrant community.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans in Louisiana, confirmed the suspension of executive actions of President Obama.
What does this mean? Continues without application programs like DAPA, which would allow parents of US citizens and legal permanent residents apply for deferred action and work authorization for three years.
Also, there will be no possibility of extending the deferred action program -DACA- currently applies to young people who came to the United States before age 16 and before June 15, 2007.
These executive actions were hoping for more than 10 million undocumented people living in the United States. Now, just wait the decision of the Supreme Court to have the last word, after the appeal by the Obama government on Tuesday afternoon.
It should be recalled that enforcement actions were sued by a coalition of 26 states, including North Carolina, who were led by Texas.
From here we have supported and encouraged all initiatives that have been promoted for the good of many migrants who have arrived in the United States in search of a better future.
So today more than ever we want you to know that we continue to support them, because we know that they are people who daily work for the welfare of their families.
We are ready to advise and support them in this process so that their dreams come true, and we hope that together we find the best way to achieve it.
