Daniella Avila is an Associates Attorney in the Immigration Department at Latorre Law Firm. She handles family based petitions, waivers, consulate processing, advanced paroles, and deferred action cases. Mrs. Avila received her BBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Puerto Rico and studied a semester abroad at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She continued her studies at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2014. Mrs. Avila is a member of the Puerto Rico State Bar, the Puerto Rico Notary Bar. She is currently waiting for the swearing-in ceremony for her admission to the Federal Bar for the US District Court of Puerto Rico.
While in law school, Mrs. Avila worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Cruz Ayala of the San Juan Court of First Instance and for the Puerto Rico Department of Justice in the Labor Law Department. During her last year of law school, Mrs. Avila was elected Treasurer of the Student Council.
Mrs. Avila is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant. She started working immigration cases when she was invited to work with the Mexican Consulate in Puerto Rico providing pro-bono counseling to Mexican immigrants.
In her free time, Mrs. Avila loves traveling to visit new countries and spending time with her family and pets.
